"Southern Patrol"
Back to Bayern - to Oktoberfest
What began as a marriage feast for (then) Prince Ludwig of Bavaria is now one of
the best known international parties in the world. Münchener breweries
showcase their product here in massive beer tents with great food, fun
atmosphere and naturally - BEER!

We met this nice couple in the beer tent. She was born here,
her husband was born in America where they now live. |

Upper left - our waitress had an interesting way of serving the custard!
Actually, she shook the plate to make - well, to make them wiggle. Nice
touch. As we see with CHRIS BANDA (6733-2003), we did a lot on this
"Patrol" and now it is time to rest.
Sadly - this ends our 2008 "Southern Patrol". The two weeks just
seemed to fly past, but our group had a great time, met some wonderful veterans
and made new friendships - and they have memories that will last a lifetime.
Plans are already underway for our next "Southern Patrol"..............watch
for them soon.
