SHARKHUNTERS
International
2009 Argentine Expedition
Today is a day of rest and relaxation - we are sightseeing on this beautiful
lake.
Above left - the Prefectura is on patrol.
Above left - the cross and monument marks the final resting place of an early
explorer in this region.
The beauty of this place alone makes the journey worthwhile.
Both below - Note the building at the left of the photo and especially look at
the sharp change in the color of the water. It is as if a line were drawn
across the water separating the lighter from the darker water. That is
because we are going over a stretch of very shallow water (the light blue) into
an area of deeper water (the dark blue). It gets more and more beautiful.
Above left - we returned here for a great lunch in a couple hours.
Above right - coming into the dock.
Above left - Got some tough Sharkhunters going into the rain
forest...............
Above right - REALLY tough Sharkhunters!
Evening dinner
We had a great dinner at the place COOPER found last year where
the owner (blue shirt below) was...........Swiss, but he played several
of the songs popular with the Wehrmacht at COOPER's request in 2008.
Enjoying our dinners - and awaiting the music we knew would be coming shortly.
The music was great and some of our group remained until closing at 2am!
Somehow this "Swiss" gentleman knew all sorts of German songs that were
popular with the Wehrmacht.........................
