There can no longer be any doubt of the massive influence the
Third Reich had on South America, Argentina especially - from years prior to the
outbreak of World War II to years after the end of the war and even today.
Come with Sharkhunters as we return to this historic area.
NOTE - This is not a pampered vacation tour. Those selected will dig, use
metal detectors, take photos and videos - hike, walk and climb steep grades.
We will get our hands dirty and scuff up our knees. This is a rough
itinerary and not for the timid!
Eden Hotel
We go to Cordoba Province and from our HQ hotel, we are within walking distance
of the Eden Hotel, playground for the wealthy of the Third Reich - even for a
man and his wife that history tells us were killed in a Berlin bunker in late
April 1945. A Sharkhunters Member who has done preliminary reconnaissance
for us tells us there are letters from Adolf Hitler framed on the wall along
with a one-page report from an OSS agent who interrogated a worker here swearing
that she served Hitler and Eva here - in the 1950! Decide for yourself.

| Golf and relaxation far from the war. | Hitler's radio speeches were received and played over the loudspeakers for the crowds. | Relaxing in the lush Argentine mountains, far from the war - far from prying eyes. |
Wealthy and special people of the Third Reich enjoyed
holidays here - relaxed here, dined here, played sports here, listened to the
radio broadcasts here. Come with us and walk where they walked - stand
where they stood - gaze at what they saw.
Villa General Belgrano
|
Villa General Belgrano is the
little town where the crew of the panzerschiff GRAF SPEE
settled after the ship was lost in the River Platte. We will go
there at least one evening and life a beer or two while singing
PROST! Who will we meet there? Come along and see
for yourself while enjoying good German beer. Warsteiner is quite
popular in certain areas of Argentina. |

Mandel's Castle
|
|
Fritz Mandel, a wealthy Austrian armaments manufacturer got out of the crumbling Europe as the Third Reich disintegrated and was welcomed to Argentina by a friendly and compassionate (?) Juan Peron - and possibly by very high ranking members of the Third Reich who had brought hundreds of millions with them to secret bank accounts in South America. And so with access to massive amounts of money, Mandel continued to manufacture weapons for..............we are not sure, but he made another fortune and built a massive castle which was his home. Today, it is a mega-luxury resort. We visit, take photos - and remember the history of this place from sixty years ago. |
Hotel Viena

The Hotel Viena was built in 1943 as an entire resort
complex - in the middle of World War II, and it had such unheard of amenities as
air conditioning, elevators - and a plastic surgery clinic! it is reported
that Hitler and Eva Braun vacationed here on occasion.
The resort is situated on the shore of a huge lake but over the years, the
steadily rising waters of the lake have forced abandonment of the area as the
waters are consuming the entire resort complex. It is abandoned - but it
is waiting for us to explore; are you ready for it? This is not for the
faint of heart or for the 'wannabee' armchair hero. This is for the
serious - are YOU up to the challenge?
This is the first time any Sharkhunters expedition has come to this area.
Don't you want to be part of this historic expedition?
