After several reconnaissance patrols, we have located more places of interest - bunkers, tunnels, abandoned buildings in this area.  Just think of it - you will be walking in the footsteps of history - walking where few have walked in the past six decades!

Adolf Hitler loved the Bavarian Alps and favored that area over the drab cityscape of Berlin, so it is no surprise that he had a southern area with a secondary headquarters.  Martin Bormann got involved and the entire Obersalzberg was quickly turned into a 'Reich Sicherheits Zone'; a heavily fortified and very secure area.

As the war turned against Germany, this area became known as the 'Southern Redoubt' and it was thought that the leaders of the Third Reich would make a last stand in this heavily fortified area.
