Much of this information, the data, the photos etc. comes directly from the veterans, the veterans' organizations and is the most accurate available anywhere..............much of this information is not even known elsewhere.
The 2. U-Bootflottille (2nd U-Boat Flotilla) was a front (combat) flotilla first based at Wilhelmshaven. In June 1941, the 2nd was moved to Lorient, France and remained there until the position was lost in August 1944.
