NEVILLE BAKER was the bombardier on the RAF Consolidated B-24 LIBERATOR that sank U-534 (salvage photo below) in the Kattegat in May 1945.

                     

While helpful in the salvage effort and with his personal account of the attack and sinking, NEVILLE never did catch on to our slogan,
                         
"Yesterdays Enemies are Today's Friends."

and he disliked Germans to his dying day.  Even though he was British, NEVILLE came to the USA where he lived out his life.
