WILHELM BRAUEL was Skipper of U-92 but his most unique command was U-256, which had been converted into a "Flak-Trap" boat, loaded with anti-aircraft weaponry and meant to shoot down unsuspecting Royal Air Force SUNDERLAND bombers of the Coastal Command.
