Hans was on board U-505 for all her

fact, he was only Matrosen 2nd Class. He also claimed that he was the man
who "pulled the plug" to scuttle the boat when in fact, that
was done by L.I. (Lead Engineer) Hauser assisted by the Engineeringmaat
Holenried.
