 Joachim Grützmann served aboard the U-Boats and many years after the war, he was Chief Editor for the magazine Schaltung Küste, the publication of the German U-Boat veterans association known as the VDU or Verband Deutsche U-Bootfahrer.  During his time as Editor, the magazine was a good source of information, unencumbered by the politics that followed when others assumed the job.  Grüzmann was a good man and helpful to Sharkhunters.
