 ALFRED NUESSER served in many capacities with the Kriegsmarine, but his primary service was with the 3rd Rohmbootflottille and he wrote a nice book about his time aboard the R-Boats.

Some years after the war, he became a US citizen and was very involved in the U. S. Navy ROTC training program, helping young Americans learn the Navy Way and transit into the Navy from high school.

He was totally supportive and extremely helpful to Sharkhunters.  He suddenly developed an extremely painful form of bone cancer and passed quickly.  AL was a great guy!
