LAWSON "Red" RAMAGE was one of the outstanding American submarine commanders of World War II, and he was awarded this country's highest honor - the Medal of Honor.  While commanding USS PARCHE, he dashed inside a Japanese convoy and picked off ships at will.  When asked where he learned these tactics, he said that he had read about a guy named Kretschmer.
                      
RADM RAMAGE was helpful and supportive to Sharkhunters until his passing.  Only four Submarine Service Medal of Honor recipients survived the War and all four were Members of Sharkhunters.
