United States WASP     pilot

ETHEL  FINLEY was one of the great ladies of the WASP - the Women's Air Force Service Pilots whose job it was to tow targets and most important of their jobs was to ferry war-weary aircraft back to the repair facilities so they could go back into the war, and they flew the new and reconditioned planes back to departure areas t be put into action.

The WASP pilots flew everything from little two-seat scout planes to the top fighters and bombers including the world's biggest tail-dragger......the B-17 Flying Fortress.
