He was in U-Boat Officer's School when the war ended.  After the war he opened a factory that produced inks and dyes and became extremely wealthy with factories in several countries including the USA.  When Sharkhunters had our first Convention in February 1987 in Key Largo, Florida - THEO covered all the expenses for almost a dozen U-Bootfahrer to attend including three Skippers (one Knights Cross Holder).  He even rented several cars for them in Key Largo.
