Born Helene Bertha Amalie Riefenstahl on 22 August 1902 in Berlin, she was a dancer then an actress in her young life, later becoming a film director.  Her pioneering techniques when filming Triumph of the Will and the 1936 Olympics are used by film directors today and are still taught in cinematography schools.

LENI was a strong, supportive Member of Sharkhunters, sending us hand-signed photos, books and film masters.  She died in 8 September 2003, a couple weeks past her 101st birthday.

LENI RIEFENSTAHL was a giant in the film industry and in history itself.
