THEODOR  WISCH  (4188-1995)

Theodor Peter Johann Wisch (13 December 1907 – 11 January 1995) was a German Waffen SS general and he was a commander of the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH) during World War Two.  He held the rank of SS Brigadeführer and General of the Waffen SS.  He was awarded the Knights Crossd with Oak Leaf and Swords.  After being badly wounded in combat in the Falaise Pocket on 20 August 1944, he was replaced as Commander of the LSSAH Division by Brigadeführer WILHELM MOHNKE (4019-1994).
