                           'Ready For Sea'

Kapitänleutnant GERD THÄTER, Skipper of U-466, rejoices on the bridge of his Type VII-C boat after his successful break-through at Gibraltar and subsequent arrival at Toulon - untouched by enemy forces.  Most U-Boat men did not go through the 'Gates of Hell' at Gibraltar even once - this was the second time for THÄTER! He had gone through once before as I.W.O. on another boat.  His father had been a U-boat Skipper in World War I, and the sunburst conning tower emblem was on his father's boat in that war.  At the end of the war, GERD had command of a Type XXI boat, U-3506 and the sunburst was on that tower as well.

Only 300 of these prints have been produced, and all are hand-signed by Captain THÄTER.  These prints are available in two convenient sizes so you may determine which will fit best on your walls.

The large prints are 11 x 17 in. & the small are 8½ x 11 in.
