China
– 1992
Tape H-19
There are actually TWO eight-hour tapes that cover our first ever SHARKHUNTERS
History Tour into Red China. We
went places no Westerner has been in centuries.
Naturally, we were in the big cities like Beijing and Shanghai, but we
also visited Liutien, Weihai, Penglai, Yentai and Tsingdao.
We were guest of the Navy of the People’s Liberation Army in the
museums, on the bases, in places like the Ming Tombs, Temple of Heaven,
Forbidden City and so many other places. You’ll
see the Chinese Acrobats performing far more intricate routines than when they
come to the USA.
Check
the photos that follow to get some idea of where we went, what we did etc.
Please be patient. What you see will offset the load times.
Everywhere - we were met by friendly, polite people who went out of their
way to make us comfortable.
"Dint soldiers" is Chinese for Submariners. In China the Navy is
a branch of the People's Liberation Army.
We enjoyed Peking Duck in the very restaurant
that In Beijing, we could
not miss the Pandas!
