the Obersalzberg DVD-95
On this DVD, spoken in English, we see how the preparations were made, the
tunnels dug, escape routes carefully planned and cut into the mountain.
It gives great insight into how and where these tunnels were built. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to see many of these
buildings and tunnels, as the German Government has destroyed them, filling in
the bunkers and tunnels.

This DVD, although similar to H-95 in that it
covers the planning, building etc. of these bunkers and tunnels, comes from a
totally different direction and covers its subject matter totally differently.
While the DVD is spoken in German, it is easily understood.

DVD-97
This
DVD also covers the Berghof, the tunnels and bunkers, and the towns on the
Obersalzberg, but it shows the US Army as they come to occupy the area.
The battle damage is severe in some areas, almost non-existent in others.
The camera follows the G.I.s in their jeeps, ‘deuce-and-a-half’,
‘six-by’ and ‘ten-by’ trucks as they patrol the entire area.
Many of these buildings, structures and towns are still standing today,
rebuilt of course, and we see them and we visit them on our ‘Patrols’
in Southern Germany.
