SHARKHUNTERS

BERLIN! Ancient &
Current Capitol of Germany
Not all of us flew into Berlin. Some, like HARRY COOPER (1-LIFE-1983)
and BILL NAPIER (2290-C/LIFE-1992), took the ICE train from München.
These are sleek, modern high speed trains and inside, almost like an airliner.
It IS the way to travel here.

Upper left - HARRY and BILL had great seats! They had the
front seats and could look past the engineer and watch Germany go by at 250
kilometers per hour - more than 150 miles per hour! That is BILL's
reflection in the glass. During the six-hour ride to Berlin, they went to
the dining car for - what else, but ice cream! Upper right is the ice
cream. We don't know what is the fascination with the female breast over
here such as this photo and some from the Southern "Patrol". We
don't object, but we are curious.......
After the "Patrol", BILL NAPIER (2290-C/LIFE-1992) wrote:
"I had a fantastic time!
My most favorite memories was East Prussia, Wolf's Lair, Westerplatte and Warsaw. This was extremely
interesting and well planned."

| Our Sharkhunters group is coming together in Berlin. Here is MARY MYERS (7025-2005) and LOREN CHARLES (3818-2003). | Above is Bernie Burdt and his father ERWIN BURDT (1328-1989), U-Boat veteran. |

| Upper left is our breakfast room at our Berlin hotel. | Upper right - Susan is in
charge of the room and she is busy working as STEVE RIHA (2937-1993) enjoys his breakfast. Big STEVE has been on, we think, eight "Patrols" so far. |
From our base hotel in Berlin, we enjoyed visits to many places. There
will be a huge multitude of photographs, so we have dedicated a separate page to
each place we visited.
Sunday 28 September, we visit Fortress Spandau. Click on the photo below
to join us there.

Or if you wish to take shortcuts to the
following places, click on the photographs. Each photograph will take you
directly to that particular area.
LOREN CHARLES (3818-2003) is sending about 1,100 photos from this "Patrol"
which we will put on the site soon, and he wrote:
"It took a little longer
than expected, but you will soon have over 1,100 images on CD coming
your way from yours truly. Just going through all the photos made me
realize just how much we saw and experienced on this tour. I loved it!!!"
This was one of the most fantastic "Patrols" ever arranged by Sharkhunters -
absolutely tremendous!
