Ostwall - massive
fortification complex
Now we visit Ostwall - the East Wall
The "East Wall" was a massive defense line, like the more famous 'Siegfried
Line' near Miedzyrzecz.

It seems to be a strange place to put modern 'porta-potties' at the far end of a
minefield - but after going around the mine area and making the necessary stop,
we headed up the stairs to the entrance and the museum.

| Another T-34 tank. It is
almost obligatory for museums in the former Soviet areas to have one on display. They were nearly as plentiful as Volkswagen "Beetles". |
